The France international full-back joins Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard at the Bernabeu as Madrid's summer shopping spree continues unabated
Lyon's Ferland Mendy has become Real Madrid's latest summer signing, joining the Blancos in a deal worth an initial €48 million (£42.7m/$54m).
Having seriously under-performed both at home and in Europe during the 2018-19 season, Madrid president Florentino Perez is sparing no expense to ensure the coming campaign will mark an improvement.
Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard are already confirmed arrivals, from Eintracht Frankfurt and Chelsea respectively, while Santos wonderkid Rodrygo is also expected to complete his move to the Bernabeu over the summer. The club also added defender Eder Militao from Porto as Real Madrid have rebuilt the squad in a big way this summer.

With Chelsea looking to strengthen their squad in the summer, the Blues may need to sell some players to raise funds for Frank Lampard's transfer target. The Chelsea squad are still training behind closed doors as they wait for news on when the Premier League season can resume. All matches in England are currently postponed until at least June, with uncertainty over when it will be safe to continue playing fixtures amid the coronavirus pandemic. Frank Lampard reportedly informs board of the striker he wants to sign

It looks pretty certain that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be looking to sign a new striker in the summer. He has repeatedly spoken in public about adding attacking reinforcements to his squad, and was disappointed that a new striker was not added in January after a number of failed pursuits. Current options Olivier Giroud is out of contract in June, and Michy Batshuayi has failed to step up. The burden has been left with Tammy Abraham, now Lampard wants to add some top quality competition for the clubs leading goalscorer. According to  SPORT , Lampard has asked the Chelsea board to sign Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic on loan next season. The 22-year old has struggled to hit the ground running since making his big money move to La Liga, and this kind of deal could be something that suits all parties. I am sure we will be hearing more on this pursuit over the coming months.

Jürgen Klopp has sided with  Barcelona  ace Lionel Messi over  Juventus ’s Cristiano Ronaldo in the debate over who the best in the world is. The  Liverpool  manager  was asked , “who is the best: Messi or Ronaldo?” “For me, Messi, but I couldn’t admire Ronaldo more than I do already,” Klopp answered. “We’ve played against both Messi and Ronaldo already, and both are almost impossible to defend. “If you could paint yourself a perfect player, he would have Ronaldo’s height, he could jump as high or run as fast as Ronaldo can. And what is then added to that, is his attitude.
